The town is calm and quiet. a large baroque church (built in a rich 17th-century style) that is too big for the village, stone houses around the water, konobas (small family restaurants) that grill the fish caught that morning. There are no big crowds like at Zlatni Rat (Zlatni Rat is the famous long pebble beach near Bol, on the other side of the island), and prices are lower than on Hvar island.
