The most convenient and fastest way to get to the island is a private boat taxi. You don’t have to worry about buses on the island or which ferry to get on since taxies can get you as close to your accommodation as possible. Plus, it’s a great experience, getting splashed with the sea drops. Don’t waste your time on hours of ferry rides and start your VIS journey as soon as possible!

Getting from Split to Vis during the tourist season gives you many options which creates freedom to experience Dalmatia in your own way.
Ferries are the best option when traveling with a car or a bigger amount of luggage. The ferry trips last the longest, but you can walk around, have a drink and enjoy the view.
Catamarans provide much shorter travel time but lack comfort and space. In most cases, you must sit through the whole sail, which cuts out the possibility of feeling the breeze above the waves. It is, though, the best option for individuals.
Private Taxi Boats should be your go-to choice if traveling in a larger group. Hiring a private taxi boat can help you save time (approx. five hours), without sacrificing comfort or fun. It is a better option for larger groups because the price stays the same regardless of how many people travel.
